Your data, its privacy
and how we protect it.
From the 4th October
2004 it is vital (avoiding delays) that you do fill
in your CSC (credit card security) 3 digit number which
is found on the reverse of your credit card just right
of the signature strip.
Any private data you are asked to enter
into our shopping cart system is only transmitted using
the latest available secure SSL (secure socket layers)
technology available. Your credit card details are not
stored at any time with the order, and order details
are further protected within the system by sophisticated
encryption. The intention is that only the order department
with the encryption code from one machine can retrieve
your details in human readable form.
We do not use cookies ( text files
set by authors of Internet viewable pages) as our
secure shopping application is controlled by your account
name and password which saves you the time of re-entering
name and address details on each visit. Equally for
security reasons we do not use your e-mail address as
a user name. This also avoids any possibility of anyone
who uses the same PC backtracking (through the browser's
history) and seeing your purchase details. Your loyalty
discount is also controlled by account name and password.
Therefore credit card details must be entered on each
occasion your order and pay. Once encrypted, transmitted
and authorised they are no longer available.
Your data is therefore only ever held
in compliance with the requirements of credit card institutions
and only ever used for the stated purpose of verifying
the correct delivery address. You may view your details
at any time and make any necessary changes.
The correct mailing address for any of
the aah-haa.com sites is clearly shown in each section.
E-mail is obviously quicker, cheaper and more convenient.
